Power Centers
The
Power Center provides a convenient and safe method of connecting all of
the various Direct Current sources (e.g., wind & solar), battery
strings, and loads (e.g., inverters & DC distribution panels)
together. On the BWC Excel-R the Power Center can be integrated with
the OptiCharge controller. On the BWC XL.1 the Power Center comes
standard.

| BWC sells batteries
in "strings" of the standard voltages (12, 24, 48, 120 & 240
VDC) and capacity (AH or ampere-hours). A 48 VDC string might, for
example, contain eight 6 VDC batteries which would be connected in series. |

battery strings use the Trojan T-105 (220 AH) and L-16 (350 AH), or
equivalent, deep-cycle flooded-cell lead-acid batteries.
